OUR REFINISHING PROCESS
Our skilled technicians follow a proven process for every refinishing project, whether for bathtubs or countertops. Here’s what you can expect during your service:
BATHTUB REFINISHING
1. REMOVE OLD CAULK: All existing caulk around the tub is removed to create clean edges for a watertight re-seal.
2. ETCH THE SURFACE: An etching solution microscopically roughens the surface for better adhesion of the new finish.
3. WET SAND AND CLEAN: We wet-sand and clean away any soap scum or residue to ensure a smooth base.
4. MASK AND VENTILATE: Surrounding areas are masked off, and ventilation is set up for a clean, safe work environment.
5. SPRAY APPLICATION: We apply primer, color, and a clear topcoat using professional spray equipment for a flawless finish.
6. RE-CAULK AND CLEANUP: After curing, we re-caulk the seams and leave your space spotless and ready to use.
Note: Most tubs are completed in a single visit. Minor chip or rust repairs are included before coating.
Countertop Refinishing
1. Remove Caulk and Accessories: Old caulk and removable fixtures are taken off for a clean refinishing area.
2. Etch for Adhesion: Laminate or cultured marble is etched to create a surface that bonds effectively with the coating.
3. Sand and Degrease: We remove grease, buildup, and surface scratches through detailed sanding and cleaning.
4. Mask and Prepare: Cabinets, walls, and nearby areas are protected, and the workspace is ventilated for safety.
5. Apply Refinishing Coats: We spray a bonding agent, primer, color coat, and clear protective finish for lasting durability.
6. Final Cleanup: Masking is removed, new caulk is applied, and the area is cleaned thoroughly.
Note: Countertop refinishing usually takes 4–5 hours depending on size and condition. Repairs are made before coating for best results.
